Avenida Add All-Star Bonner

EuroLeague Women
14. Dewanna Bonner (Rivas Ecópolis)
Dewanna Bonner comes back to Spain but trades cup winners Rivas Ecópolis for leage and EuroLeague Women Champions Halcon Avenida

Halcon Avenida may have parted with most of the players that won the club a first EuroLeague Women title back in April but coach Lucas Mondelo is still at the helm and the squad that he'll be in charge of is becoming more interesting by the day.

The Salamanca outfit has signed reigning Copa de la Reina MVP DeWanna Bonner.

Having spent the previous season at Frisco Sika Brno, Bonner joined Rivas Ecopolis and led them to the most famous moment in club history earlier this year when they upset Avenida in the semi-finals and then hosts Ros Casares in the Copa final.

The 23-year-old averaged 18.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game for Rivas and earned a spot in the Rest of the World Team for the EuroLeague Women All-Star Game.

Bonner is moving to an Avenida side that has recently added Marta Fernandez, Anna Vajda, Allison Feaster-Strong, Laura Antoja and Lucila Pascua.

Erika De Souza, Isa Sanchez and Marta Xargay are still with the team from last year.

Jalcova Switch To Lotos Gdynia

Ivana Jalcova has left Good Angels Kosice for Lotos Gdynia.

The Slovakia international, 27, averaged 5.6 points, 2.3 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game last season for Kosice.

Gdynia is her first club abroad after playing for Kosice since 2003.
