|Ismet Akpinar once more was inspirational for Germany, coming up with 13 points|
Germany picked up their third win in Qualifying Round Group E with a low-scoring win over Greece, 55-49.
The score was 48-47 to Germany with 2:31 remaining, before a David Taylor three-pointer created some space.
Anastasios Spyropoulos replied for Greece, but Taylor made a lay-up to restore the four-point advantage.
Sokratis Gkelios missed twice from the free-throw line and Jan Wimberg pulled in his tenth rebound with 15 seconds remaining.
Greece fouled Ismet Akpinar, but the German guard sealed the victory from the line.
The result was cruel on Greece, who had recovered from a slow first quarter to take a 39-38 lead into the final period. Both sides shot less than 30% in the game, and Germany's rebounding advantage (46-33) was eventually the decisive factor.
Akpinar led the German team in scoring with 13 points, while Wimberg finished with 8 points and 11 rebounds and front-court team-mate Maximilian Ugrai grabbed 10 rebounds also.
Michail Liapis top-scored for Greece with 12 points.
