Both teams shot well in the first quarter, and Serkevicius hit a shot with 0:02 remaining to tie the game at 19-19 at the end of the period.
France pressured the Lithuanian offense in the second period, and Paul-Lou Duwiquet's three-pointer put his side ahead 34-32 going into the break.
But Lithuania turned the tables in the third quarter, holding the French team scoreless for 7:59 and using an 11-0 run to establish a strong advantage.
The French team fought hard, and Inglis made a basket and a foul shot to bring the score back to 45-42 at the end of the period, a three point lead for Lithuania.
Lithuania pulled clear in the final quarter, the lead never smaller than six points in the final 7:20. A series of Serkevicius baskets confirmed victory and Lithuania will play Ukraine tomorrow looking to advance to the Qualifiying Round.
