Two more teams finished their Qualifying Round games as Turkey smashed Poland 89-60 in Group F of the U16 European Championship at Osnovna Skola Jugoslavija in Bar, Montenegro on Wednesday evening.
The game didn't have any influence on the final standings as Turkey were already secured in the third spot, while Poland failed to advance.
Turkey improved to 3-2 while Poland finished the group in the last place with a 0-5 record and will play the 9-12 Classification Round.
Burak Haciismail scored 22 points and added nine rebounds to lead Turkey, Tayfun Erülkü scored 17 and Zafer Alp finished with 11.
Poland saw 16 points by Jan Grzelinski and 13 by Kacper Borowski.
Daniel Szymkiewicz of the Polish team rested due to an ankle injury and without him it was much easier for the Turkish team who controlled the game for 40 minutes.
Haciismail was a dominating force from the start and led his team to an 20-5 lead already after seven minutes behind an 18-0 run.
Erüklü stepped up and and together with Mehmet Sozen created a 21 gap early in the second quarter, 32-11 that didn't leave the Polish a lot of hope.
Turkey dominated the rebounds 53-28 and scored in high percentage around the rim, enough to silence any Polish hopes for a come back.
In the second half both coaches allowed their back up players more playing time as Turkey got ready for a key Quarter-Finals clash.
