Markovski was one of the top performers at last year's U20 European Championship. He averaged 21 points and almost 11 rebounds-per-game. Even though F.Y.R of Macedonia failed to make the play-offs at this event, Markovski has certainly made his name heard. No wonder head coach Ales Pipan has invited Markovski to the senior team training camp where he will partner up with the country's best players. Pipan knows Markovski well after the guard played for him as a role player for the MZT Skopje team last season which won both the national championship and national cup. Markovski is a decent shooter both from mid-range and behind the arc, while his athleticism gives him the chance to become a big-time rebounder in future.
