Despite only being 24 years old, this will already be the third time round at EuroBasket for Mejeris, who made his international debut for the Latvian men's national team back in 2011. An extremely long forward with great athletic ability, he runs the floor extremely well for his size and loves to attack the basket, when he has an opportunity. His length can be disruptive at the defensive end, both in the shape of rim protection and playing the passing lanes. However, the raw skillset of Mejeris is yet to fully materialise. Averaging 10.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game in the LBL last season was a big step forward for the player, but it is unlikely he will be a difference maker for the national side just yet, when he steps on the court in Riga.
