The win broke the losing streak of Lithuania and now they stand on a 1-2 record.
Austria lost for the second time in a row and share the same record, just as Croatia who lost in the parallel game to Serbia.

Thomas Klepeisz had a great game with 17 points and seven assists, while Anton Maresch added 13 points.
Once again Austria put up a great fight and even had control of the game for over two quarters, but with a short bench couldn't match up with the intensity of the Lithuanian squad.
Carlos Novas and in Klepeisz wrote a 19-25 Austrian lead in the first quarter, but Dovidas Redikas and Arnas Butkevicius tied the score, yet that wasn't enough to put pressure on their opponent.
Great team play by Austria and a good finish by Maresch set the half time score on 40-44 in favor of Austria and another jumper by Maresch early in the third quarter made 49-42, yet Dambrauskas with a pair of three pointer pulled Lithuania back quickly.
Butkevicius added another long range bomb and then finished a fast break with a dunk to turn the game over and make it 63-57 to Lithuania deep in the third quarter.
Kulvietis combined points and Butkevicius with another fast break dunk pushed the gap to double-digits for the first time and despite there were still eight minutes to play Austria were out of tools to make a difference, as Lithuania added eight more points and sealed the win.
After the rest day Lithuania will try to revenge Serbia for the loss earlier in the tournament while Austria will face Croatia in hope to shock them again.
