Turkey's Furkan Aldemir got his share of spotlight on Wednesday night after putting his name in the record books of the U20 European Championships with a 25-rebound performance against Germany.
On Friday evening, he wrote another chapter in the records book, this time one that will be much more difficult to vanish.
In the Quarter-Finals against Russia Aldemir pulled no less than 23 rebounds, after having grabbed eight already by the end of the first quarter.
With that, Aldemir became the first player in the history of the U20 championships to have two performances of 20+ rebounds in a single tournament.
The fact he did that in back-to-back games is another record worth to mention, and obviously much more difficult to break.
Nevertheless, Aldemir's performance didn't help his team to get the spot in the Semi-Finals as Turkey lost 64-57 and will play the 5-8 Classification Round against Latvia.
