|Gabriela Marginean will remain with Perfumerias Avenida|
After a flurry of exciting incomings at Perfumerias Avenida during recent weeks, it's barely surprising that Romania national team kingpin Gabriela Marginean has expressed her joy at extending her stay in Salamanca.
The forward fired 13.6 points per game in EuroLeague Women last season and helped her team to regain the Liga Femenina title which had slipped from the club's grasp of late.
"I am delighted and grateful to be able to play one more year [with Avenida]," she revealed.
"I've felt very comfortable with everything, even though we had some not so good moments and some defeats that should not have happened.
"Those defeats always increase the determination and hunger for victories. But of course, winning the league was an amazing experience and I would love to re-live it again.
"Playing for Avenida is fantastic, especially for the quality of the fans that we have behind us every day. They make it very hard to play against Salamanca and I know that from experience.
"It's much better to play with them on your side and they make us feel great on the court and give us an extra push. It's the dream of every player to play with such amazing fans," continued Marginean.
"Every year, each team lives through similar processes as some players leave and others stay. It is a new adventure and hopefully we can rapidly integrate together to succeed.
"I think the expectations are similar every year - to win it all and so that's the mentality we will go into each game with."
Marginean is one of the few players to stay at Pabellon Wurzburg, with an array of new faces arriving - including the likes of Jelena Milovanovic, Tijana Krivacevic, Angela Salvadores and Laura Quevedo.
