Both teams fought very hard for every little point and kept the result open for most of the time. In the third quarter Dorsten set off a little bit but Miskolc kept fighting hard. Especially Agne Abromaite found every little space under the BG basket and got 11 rebounds (8 offense) while Monica Brosovszky (22) and Edit Eördögh (23) made a lot of trouble from distance.
In the first half Hungary stopped a lot of the BG attacks with fouls but Dorsten scored 80% of their free shots. The hard defense of Miskolc forced Dorsten to shot from outside but the hosts handled with it getting better through the game. Nikki Johnson of Dorsten fought her way trough the Miskolc wall over and over again, trying to motivate her team and was topscorer of the game with 25 points.
In the the last quarter it took the guests three and a half minute to score again but then Monika Brosovszky made several steals and scored by fastbreaks. Edith Eördögh finally made the reconciliation to the 84:84. Now Miskolc doubbled Dorsten in defense and got the last attack. Dorstens last try to prevent the last shot failed and the players of Mikolc burst in tears of happyness as Monika Brosovszky hit her threepointer. Even a timeout couldn´t bring a solution for Dorsten anymore.
