The Slovak Republic never trailed as they downed Greece 56-38 to wrap up the first day of action at the U20 European Championship Women in Samsun on Thursday.
A Lenka Slezárikova three-pointer opened proceedings, whilst a Barbora Balintova triple capped a 15-3 run that put the Slovak Republic up 23-9 midway through the second quarter.
When Greece closed the gap to come within seven points (31-24), Balintova was on hand again, sparking a 9-0 spurt, to make it a 15-point lead, after which Slovakia closed out the game.
The Slovaks made the most out of Greece's woes behind the three-point line, as they missed all seven of their attempts, while Slovakia went 5-for-13.
Balintova finished with 19 points and eight rebounds, while Zofia Hruscakova scored 16 with eight rebounds. Artemis Spanou scored 16 for Greece.
