|Jamailah Adams and the Netherlands rode to success on the back of a scintilating opening frame|
The Netherlands put up another good performance, topping Ukraine 68-52 to book a place in the Second Round and wrap up the second day of action in Group A at the U20 European Championship Women in Samsun.
Storming out of the gate, the Netherlands opened the game with a 13-2 run, before using an efficient offence and only four missed shots in the first quarter to go up 27-9.
Behind strong play from Maxime Essenstam, Jamailah Adams and Yordi Kathmann, the advantage soon reached 20, the largest margin of the game, and the Dutch lead was never in question after that.
The Dutch won big despite 22 turnovers and allowing 13 offensive rebounds, mostly because of 54% efficiency from inside the perimeter (21-for-39).
Essenstam was the game's top scorer with 18 points, while Loyce Bettonvil amassed 13 points plus 12 rebounds.
For Ukraine, Oleksandra Chek scored 17, while Darya Zavidna had 11 points and as many rebounds.
