Slovakia secured their Division A survival with a 58-41 victory over Germany at the U20 European Championship Women.
Slovakia made the difference in the second quarter, when they outscored Germany 11-2 to take a 23-13 half-time lead.
Germany rallied with a 5-0 start to the third quarter, and were within three, 25-22, on a pair of free throws by Julia Gaudermann.
But three-pointers from Marta Palenikova and Barbora Balintova highlighted an 8-0 Slovakia run that had them back in front by double figures before a fourth quarter that only saw them go further ahead.
The win moved Slovakia, promoted from Division B last summer, to 4-0, and ensured them at least 14th place in the tournament.
However, Romania have become the first team to suffer relegation, having gone down 72-53 to Belarus.
Romania, still winless in Serbia at 0-7, were still in the game until the final quarter, which they started trailing 55-48, but then saw Belarus go on a devastating closing run to seal their fate.
Maryia Filonchyk led Belarus with 23 points and 12 rebounds, while Christina Bigica had 21 points for Romania.
