Rakvere Tarvas have reason to be optimistic about the second half of their EuroChallenge Regular Season campaign after completing two new signings to bolster their roster.

The Estonian club, who stand at 1-2 in Group A of the EuroChallenge, added power forward Rain Raadik and shooting guard Larry Hall to their personnel this week.

Raadik is a senior international and averaged four points and one rebound per game during Estonia's triumphant campaign in the EuroBasket 2015 1st Qualification Round, last summer.

After helping his national team book their flight to Ukraine however, the 24-year-old big man struggled with injury and missed the start of the Alexela KML league season.

Raadik was the star player for Parnu last year, averaging a double-double of 17.4 points 10.8 rebounds per game in the KML.

The Estonian international replaces Lithuanian Laurynas Mikalauskas on the Tarvas roster. Mikalauskas did not feature in any of the three games Tarvas played in the EuroChallenge and also saw limited action in the KML, making only five appearances.

Hall, who became Tarvas's second addition this week, spent last season at Bulgarian club Cherno More.

The 30-year-old American averaged 8.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and two assists in 26 games in the NBL with the team from Varna.

Tarvas are taking on fellow EuroChallenge club Tartu University Rock in KML action at the weekend and then play host to SPM Shoeters Den Bosch on Tuesday.

7. Courdon Higgins (Triumph Lyubertsy)
Courdon Higgins and Triumph Lyubertsy continued their series of impressive outings with another win

Several clubs that compete in the EuroChallenge were involved in domestic or regional league action on Thursday night, and all of them emerged victorious from their respective clashes.

Triumph Lyubertsy, one of the two unbeaten teams in the EuroChallenge after the conclusion of the first half of the Regular Season, travelled to Ukraine on Thursday to face Azovmash Mariupol.

Vasily Karasev's team dominated their hosts in the first half and build a 15-point cushion that proved unassailable until the final buzzer, as they picked up an 88-77 win.

Courdon Higgins was an unstoppable force on the Russian side, leading Triumph to victory with a game-high 35 points on 16-of-18 from two-point range and adding five rebounds and two assists.

The 24-year-old American guard had also scored 35 points in Triumph's last outing in the EuroChallenge, an 84-81 win at Gaz Metan Medias, and was the top statistical performer in Week 3 of the competition.

Higgins leads the EuroChallenge in scoring midway through the Regular Season, with 22.7 points per game.

Bakken Bears Aarhus meanwhile bounced back from their first loss in the EuroChallenge, 68-66 to Cholet on Tuesday, by enjoying an 104-62 rout of SISU Gentofte in the Danish BasketLigaen just 48 hour later.

Brandon Penn led five Bakken players in double digits with his 18 points and eight rebounds, Kenny Barker had 17 points and six boards and Soren Qwist went 6-of-6 from the floor and finished with 16 points.

At about the same time on Thursday and further to the west, two Dutch EuroChallenge participants were clinching comfortable victories on the road.

SPM Shoeters Den Bosch had a slight edge over Rotterdam for most of the night and delivered a powerful fourth-quarter display to pull away from their hosts and win 74-52.

Tai Wesley collected yet another double-double for Den Bosch, of 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Kees Akerboom chipped in with 17 points, four boards and two assists.

Zorg En Zekerheid Leiden meanwhile followed a similar recipe against Leeuwarden and also pulled away in the final frame, outscoring their hosts 29-12 in the clutch.

Leiden picked up a 94-78 victory on the back of a 20-point, 7-rebound display by Joshua Duinker, and a 16-point, 5-assist contribution by Whit Holcomb-Faye.

Den Bosch and Leiden are tied in fourth place in the Dutch basketball league standings, with a 7-4 record.
