Jason Dourisseau had a handy 12-point contribution for GasTerra Flames Groningen in their maiden win of the season

GasTerra Flames Groningen remain alive in Group E of the EuroChallenge after collecting their first win, knocking off Team Teho Sport Kotka 83-77 on the road.

Cashmere Wright paced five Groningen players in double figures with 15 points as the Dutch side improved to 1-3 in the group. Jeffrey Robinson added 13 points while Arvin Slagter, Jason Dourisseau and Daniel Coleman all scored 12 points for the winners.

Teho dropped to 2-2 in the group despite Sharaud Curry pouring in 31 points to go along with eight assists and four rebounds. Jukka Matinen added 17 points and Chris Owens had 14 points in the loss.

Kokta jumped ahead 9-5 before Groningen's 9-0 run and the guests were up 21-17 after one quarter.

The second quarter featured nine lead changes with the hosts ahead 40-37 at intermission.

Curry's three-pointer opened the second half for a six-point lead. But Groningen went on a 14-0 run for a 51-43 lead. The hosts answered with seven straight points but allowed thereafter eight consecutive points and trailed 61-58 after three quarters.

The guests scored the first 11 points of the fourth quarter to open a 72-58 gap. Down 81-74 with less than two minutes left, Kotka went scoreless on the next two possessions to decide the game.
