COACH QUOTES

Quotes Okapi Aalstar vs. Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia

Okapi Aalstar player Da'Sean Butler:

"We came out too slow in the first two quarters. [That meant that] Reggio Emilia could take more and more shots so they were up by 11 at halftime. But we fought back in the third quarter. There are a lot of injuries in the team but the young guys gave us energy. But we had too few rotation possibilities and we became tired at the end."

Okapi Aalstar coach Brad Dean:

"I think my team showed a lot of intensity but in money time Reggio Emilia was the better team and controlled the end of the game. Some of my players are not used to play a lot of minutes, but due to injured players, they were ready for this game. I'm very glad we could finish the game with no more players injured."

Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia coach Massimiliano Menetti:

"We are satisfied because we played a good game against a good team. Congratulations to Aalst for not giving up and trying to win. We did well for 32 minutes and then we let Aalstar come back but we finished in the right way. Special thanks to our young player [Ojars] Silins, who's only 20 years old."

Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia player Ojars Silins:

"We had to fight for 40 minutes but we were better in the last minutes of the game. Here we finally showed character and I was very pleased with my contribution offensively. It was a good second half and we are very pleased with the win."
