Barak Netanya struggled to make their free-throws all night long at Belgacom Liege and it proved to be their undoing as the hosts claimed a 70-67 victory on the opening night of the EuroChallenge Regular Season.
Adrian Banks of Barak Netanya, with his team trailing by a point and just six seconds from the end, missed both attempts.
Nikolas Raivio hauled in the rebound for Belgacom, drew the foul and made two free-throws at the other end for the final score.
Barak Netanya ended up making just 18 of 32 (56.2%) at the free-throw line on the night.
With 33 seconds to go, Banks had made one of two at the stripe to knot the game at 67-67.
The Israeli club then fouled Taylor Griffin with 12 seconds to go.
Griffin, who spent last season with the Phoenix Suns, made the first but missed the second.
Banks and Barak Netanya couldn't take advantage at the end.
Raivio had 14 points to lead the winners.
