KRKA Novo Mesto have been one of the EuroChallenge's best teams this season but the Slovenians were no match for Pinar Karsiyaka on Tuesday night.
In a Last 16 battle between two 1-0 sides in Group J, Karsiyaka pulled away in the second half for a 94-74 victory.
The Turkish club's center Jovo Stanojevic led the way with 23 points and 12 rebounds while electric point guard David Holston scored 22 and came up with five steals.
KRKA only trailed 40-37 early in the third quarter following a three-pointer by Goran Ikonic and then closed the deficit to 43-42 after a lay-up by veteran power forward Jure Balazic.
Holston responded by scoring five points in a 7-0 run for Karsiyaka.
When an Ikonic basket reduced the arrears to 53-46, Holston answered with a three-ball, giving him 11 points in the frame.
KRKA managed to stay within striking distance, trailing 77-67 with less than three minutes to go.
Karsiyaka outscored them 17-7 the rest of the way, though, for a convincing win.
Balazic had 15 points to lead KRKA.
