Ural Great are unbeaten in Group B and look to be among the teams that are capable of lifting the EuroCup this year.
The Perm side appears to be building confidence as the year goes on and having Andrew Wisniewski in the side is one reason why.
The American point guard, who has played at clubs in Europe like Cibona Zagreb and Red Star Belgrade, just likes to win.
Wisniewski, who had 18 points in Ural Great's 98-78 triumph over Cherkaski Mavpy in the qualifying round this week, finds basketball to be the perfect sport for him.
"I am an emotional man," he says.
"On the court, you spend lots of energy and your emotions find their way out.
"I receive lots of pleasure from the game of basketball.
"Perm fans support us so well.
"They are among the best ones I've seen in Europe."
They also show up for most of the games, no matter what the competition.
"People in Perm come to support their team it does not matter what game it is," he says.
"To compare, fans of Cibona came to the games mostly when the team played in Euroleague."
The way Wisniewski has played for Ural Great, it would be easy to see the club offering him a contract extension.
"I am open to discuss terms of signing new contract with Ural Great for next season," he says.
