Montenegro secured their spot in U18 European Championship Division A for next summer by knocking off England 85-68 in the Classification Games for 9th to 16th Place.
Aleksandar Dozic paced four Montenegro players in double figures with 21 points while Petar Popovic had 16 points, Milos Krivokapic scored 14 and Vasilije Bacovic added 13 points.
Jules Dang Akodo was England's leading scorer with 18 points and six assists while Josh Steel had 14 points and Dean Williams added 11 points in the loss.
Turning Point: The game was even at 20-20 early in the second quarter when Montenegro went on a 21-5 run for a 41-25 lead. England did respond with a 9-0 run spanning the second and third quarters but would not get closer than seven points the rest of the way.
Game Hero: In addition to his 13 points, Bacovic also collected eight rebounds, one assists, three steals and three blocks.
Stats Don't Lie: Montenegro shot 59% from the field compared to 38% for England and scored 19 points off turnovers to seven for England. Montenegro also had 23 points off the bench to England's eight and 58 points in the paint to 26 for England.
