Popovic Unstoppable In Montenegro Win

Petar Popovic caught fire early on, scoring 21 of Montenegro's 42 points in the first half

Montenegro bounced back from a loss against Turkey to beat Bosnia and Herzegovina 73-64 in Second Round Group F of the U18 European Championship.

Petar Popovic torched Bosnia and Herzegovina with 32 points while Aleksa Ilic collected 12 points, 11 rebounds, two steals and two blocks and Vasilije Bacovic added 11 points, eight rebounds and four blocks.

Bosnia and Herzegovina were paced by 13 points from Nedim Dedovic while Enis Memic added 11 points and Edin Atic chipped in nine points, four rebounds, three assists and four steals.

Turning point: Bosnia and Herzegovina trailed just 46-41 with seven minutes left when Montenegro reeled off a 12-0 run to put the game away, 58-41, with 2:44 minutes left.

Game Hero: Popovic was unstoppable for Montenegro, not only scoring 32 points but also picking up five rebounds, eight assists and three steals.

Stats Don't Lie: Montenegro out-scored their opponents on the fast break 28 to 6 and out-rebounded them 39 to 28.

The Bottom Line: Every victory in the tightly packed Group F will be crucial as Montenegro improved to 2-2 while Bosnia and Herzegovina dropped to 1-3.
