Ukraine pulled away in the fourth quarter to register a 66-56 win over Bulgaria in the final classification Group G game at the U18 European Championship in Latvia.
Trailing by five points heading into the fourth quarter, Ukraine outscored their winless opponents 22-7 over the final 10 minutes to lock up second spot in Group G.
Illya Sydorov poured in 20 points for a Ukraine side that took adavantage of 18 second-chance points to Bulgaria's two. Pavlo Lebedintsev (11 rebounds) and Oleksandr Antypov chipped in with double-digit scoring contributions.
Bulgarian scoring machine Aleksandar Vezenkov finished with a game-high 24 points and nine rebounds, but did the majority of his damage in the first half as both sides struggled to put points on the scoreboard from outside the painted area.
