|Ognjen Jaramaz had 19 points and 10 rebounds as Serbia surged into the quarter-finals|
Serbia advanced to the U18 European Championship quarter-finals and eliminated the Czech Republic in the process with a 99-70 Group E win.
A win or be eliminated situation for both sides, Serbia benefitted from their excellent guard play to establish a 15-point halftime lead that increased to 33 in the second half.
Starting perimeter players Ognjen Jaramaz, Vasilije Pusica and Aleksa Jugovic thoroughly outplayed the Czech Republic's backcourt and center Milenko Veljkovic provided a solid inside presence after getting into some early foul trouble.
The Czech Republic stayed close enough to make it an interesting match-up for stretches in the first half, but could not close in on Serbia's lead without any reliable offensive options outside of Martin Peterka (13 points, seven rebounds) and Prokop Slanina (14 points).
Brano Djukanovic led Serbia with four three-point baskets and 20 points while backcourt partner Jaramaz added 19 and ten rebounds.
