| Tornike Shengelia led Georgia to a vital win over Hungary, finishing with an efficiency ranking of 32|
Germany and Georgia needed big performances on Day 5 of the EuroBasket 2nd Qualifying Round in order to win and stay in the race for qualification to the big event, and two players stepped up and duly delivered.
The 23-year-old power forward also added eight rebounds, two steals, two assists and one block to round up his fantastic display.
The only thing that moderated Shengelia's joy on Sunday night was the fact that he landed badly on the floor with less than two minutes remaining and suffered an injury.
Fortunately, the scans he was submitted to on Monday morning did not reveal any fracture but the Georgian forward will in any case not play in his team's final game in this qualifying campaign, against Portugal on Wednesday.
Schröder also had an excellent shooting night on Sunday and converted six of his nine attempts from the field and, most importantly, went 10-for-10 from the free-throw line to collect 24 points and propel Germany to an 88-69 win at home over Austria in Group C.
Just like it happened with Shengelia, Schröder's offensive output on Sunday was a personal career-high with the senior national team.
The young German point guard also dished out six assists, stole three balls and grabbed three rebounds to cap off his performance.
Hendriks sunk six of his eight two-point shots and scored 15 points, also adding a game-high 12 rebounds to complete a double-double.
The icing on the cake of Hendriks' Sunday performance was his three blocked shots and three assists and the fact he did not commit even a single turnover, despite staying on the floor for almost 30 minutes.
