Russia came away with a big win in Group F of the OMNITEL U18 European Championship after a 78-55 triumph over Croatia at the Lietuvos Rytas Arena in Vilnius, Lithuania on a Monday evening game.
Following the win Russia holds a 2-1 record in the standings while Croatia is behind with 1-2.

Dmitry Kulagin hit 16 points for Russia while Andrey Loginov and Sergey Karasev added 13.
Stefan Zadravec was the only player for Croatia in double-digits with 12.
There was no doubt who's the better team on the court right from the first quarter.
The gap kept increasing as the minutes went by and Russia continued their great run, and win for the third day in a row.
The great mix of guards and forwards bestowed Russia a lot of options on the court and Croatia had no answers tonight.
Russia was on fire right from the start as Kulagin and Karasev hit long distance shots and Artem Pisarchuk dunked to create an 18-8 lead.
Marko Ramljak and Roko Rogic cut on the margin but Kulagin answered with 2 long shots, and Alexnader Varnakov added another, to score 13 points in a row and make it a 31-12 game, already after 13:30 minutes.
Croatia scored the last 5 points in the 1st half to make the opponent seem more accessible, just 14 points behind, but Karasev and Loginov pushed it back to 51-29 and after each side added 10 points the 3rd quarter finished.
The last quarter didn't effect the outcome, as Russia rode to a big win that could play a decisive role in their favor down the stretch.
Tomorrow Russia will meet Serbia as Croatia will take on Italy.
