Early Spurt Propels Keravnos


Keravnos won the first game of their best-of-two series with a 72-67 triumph over BC Dnipro.

The Cyprus-based outfit took control of the game with a 13-2 first quarter run.

With the score tied at four-all, Alexander Koul dunked to ignite the run. The 213-cm big man scored two more field goals over the stretch and Patrick Lee’s three-point play made the score 17-6.

Keravnos built their lead to 14 after one quarter and increased their advantage to as many 19 midway through the second after a Giorgos Anastasiadis bucket.

Keravnos were up by 15 after three quarters and led by double-digits until the final minutes of the game.

Koul and Anastasiadis each tallied 15 points for the victors.

Donatas Zavackas had 20 points and 14 rebounds in a losing effort for Dnipro.

The second and final game of the semis resume on the 8th of March. The team with the most points from the two games reach the finals.
