Czech team Mlekarna Kunin powered their way to victory over Turkish visitors Banvit on Wednesday night.
The home team produced a frantic opening period which allowed them to open up a gap from which Banvit were simply unable to recover.
After a relatively quiet opening two minutes, Mlekarna Kunin hit their stride when Frederick Warrick hit a three-pointer to put his team ahead 5-3. They then proceeded to bury all four of their next field goal attempts, including 3 three-pointers to open up a 16-5 gap after just five minutes.
Trailing by as many as eleven points, Banvit rallied to 24-15 at the end of the period, but another offensive onslaught from Mlekarna Kunin at the beginning of the second decided the game.
The Czechs opened the quarter with an 11-3 run to lead 35-17 and were in complete control of the game.
Banvit came out in the second half with a full court press in an attempt to rattle the hosts, but would get no closer than 11 points the rest of the game.
Warrick led four players in double figure scoring with 26 points, to which he added 7 rebounds and 7 assists.
