|Meritxell Tarroch Martinez and Andorra can celebrate the Division C title after beating Cyprus in the Final|
Andorra won the U16 European Championship Women Division C with a commanding second-half to beat Cyprus 61-49.
Claudia Guri Moreno recored another huge double-double, registering 24 points and 26 rebounds along with 2 blocked shots. Andrea Moreno Consuegra added 14 points.
Eleanna Christinaki scored a game-high 30 points for Cyprus in a losing effort.
Andorra were able to take advantage of a rebounding edge, with Moreno recording more rebounds than the whole Cyprus team.
Andorra jumped out to a 12-2 lead, but Cyprus gradually came back into the game and Ionna Pittaka's shot made the score 23-22 at half-time, Andorra with a one-point lead.
In the third quarter Andorra went on a 7-0 run, but Cyprus stayed close and the score was 42-36 at the end of the period.
But the Andorra defense stayed strong in the final period, never allowing Cyprus to get closer than four points, and Andorra pulled away at the end to secure victory.
Malta took third place in the tournament by beating the Principality of Monaco 49-45. Malta held a five-point lead entering the final quarter, and were able to hold on despite a spirited comeback from Monaco.
Gabriella Mifsud top-scored with 19 points and added 4 steals. Team-mate Martina Darmanin contributed 12 rebounds. Emma Zeghdar top-scored for Monaco with 14 points and 6 steals, and Margaux Varvello registered a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Gibraltar took 5th place in the tournament with a 74-23 win over Wales. Jamie Lee Prescott starred for Gibraltar with 19 points and 24 rebounds as five players contributed double-digit points in the victory.
