Germany and Russia were both without key players during their U20 European Championship Women Group A meeting in Tinajo, Lanzarote on Saturday.
Noémie Rouault, who averaged 17 points and 12 points during Germany's first two games, was left out as a precaution.
The forward sustained a blow to her right knee in Friday's victory against Serbia and will have the injury examined at hospital before a decision is taken as to whether she will feature in the Second Round from Monday onwards.
Yana Degtyarskaya was once again absent for Russia, having started their first game of the competition.
She left Russia's opening game against Serbia on Thursday after falling awkwardly and has not played since.
Degtyarskaya, however, has joined the team for warm-ups and could yet return later in the competition.
