France star Anael Lardy looks to have been ruled out of the U20 European Championship for Women because of injury.

The point guard, who plays her club basketball for Clermont, has fractured a bone in her right hand and is set to miss the tournament, which begins in Sofia, Bulgaria on Friday.

Lardy, 20, will join up with her team-mates ahead of the championship, but is expected to look on from the  sidelines.

France's first match is against Germany on the opening night.
