|Gabriela Andelová finished her time in Portugal on a high, scoring 17 points in victory|
Czech Republic claimed eleventh place at the U18 European Championship Women after striding past Poland 73-65 to wrap up their participation in Matosinhos.
Turning Point: The last few minutes witnessed Czech Republic grasp the initiative with a 13-4 finish to the game as foul trouble racked up for Poland.
Game Heroes: Gabriela Andelova fired 17 points, while Klara Krivankova added 12 points and eight rebounds.
Stats Don't Lie: Czech Republic did a good job being aggressive on offence and got to the foul line some 34 times in the contest.
The Bottom Line: Both teams will probably be sat on the plane going home thinking of what might have been. Both wanted to make the quarter-finals, although it was always going to be a tough ask on both accounts. Poland actually finished with the better record at 5-4, compared to 4-5 for the Czechs who finished a place above them.
