The Netherlands have announced that Jan Willem Jansen will coach the national team this summer in the EuroBasket Qualification Round.
The 59-year-old Jansen, who has coached in both the Netherlands and Belgium and worked with the country's basketball federation as a sport coordinator, believes his team is capable of reaching the Final Round in Slovenia next year.
"The target is the Stozice Arena in Ljubljana," he said.
"I want to go there with this group."
The Dutch team is in EuroBasket Qualification Round Group D with Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania and Latvia.
Their first game is at Romania on 15 August.
The preparations for the Qualification Round clashes will begin 15 July.
The Orange will take on Cyprus, Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic in warm-up games.
The Netherlands haven't played in the final round of the EuroBasket since 1989, when they came in eighth.
