Branko Cvetkovic stayed with EuroChallenge outfit FMP just long enough to win two games, including Thursday's 97-66 triumph over Radnički in the Adriatic League. On Friday morning, though, struggling Italian club Scavolini Pesaro announced they had acquired the sharpshooter. Cvetkovic had recently spoken about his happiness at joining FMP for a second spell after leaving relegated ACB club CAI Zaragoza. He had 15 points in FMP's 97-66 victory over Radnički. FMP travel to Belgium next week to meet Okapi Aalstar on November 24 in their opening game of the European competition while Scavolini will go host Amsterdam. Scavolini announced they expected Cvetkovic to arrive in Italy next week. Videnov, Bjelica make headlines at Red Star Filip Videnov endured a disappointing EuroBasket this summer as Bulgaria lost all three of their games in Poland and the shooting guard's hangover carried into the Adriatic League. Videnov and his new club, Red Star Belgrade, won just one of their opening six games but the outlook is much brighter now. The shooting guard earned Week 7 MVP honors after firing his team to a 97-81 triumph over Široki HT Eronet. He made five of six shots from long range and finished with 31 points while also hauling in seven rebounds and handing out four assists. On Thursday night, Videnov and Red Star won again, this time 76-73 against bitter rivals Partizan in their famous Belgrade derby at the Pionir. The leading man for Red Star on this occasion, though, was Nemanja Bjelica - a revelation at the EuroBasket with Serbia after helping them reach the final. Bjelica was slowed by injuries to start the season but against Partizan, he earned MVP honors after scoring a team-high 14 points.
