|Tickets to EuroBasket 2013 will start to become available on March 18 |
On Tuesday the EuroBasket 2013 Local Organising Committee (LOC) officially announced when the first tickets will go on sale for FIBA Europe's flagship event.
Fans will be able to begin getting their hands on tickets beginning on March 18 when they become available for the medal games and semi-finals. A week later tickets to the Quarter-Finals and the 5th to 8th place games go on sale; whilst Second Round sales begin on 1 April. The date of when tickets to games for the First Round come on sale will be announced at a later date.
National federations, official sponsors and Slovenian basketball clubs will be given priority to tickets.
For the first time at a modern EuroBasket tournament, tickets will be sold to individual games, rather than the traditional method of only offering day passes. By doing this more fans will have access to games that they have a direct interest in, and therefore allow more people to be part of the event.
Tickets will be available via the official ticketing agency for EuroBasket 2013, Eventim; or the Palma Tourism Agency as part of an event package.
The price of tickets for first-round games start at 15 euros, whilst tickets for the 5th to 8th place games begin at 4 euros.
