A blistering second half propelled Greece to an 11th placed finish at the U18 European Championship in Latvia on Sunday, defeating the Czech Republic 85-65.
Greece began the game scoring 10 unanswered points only to see the Czech Republic storm back into the contest and cut their big lead down to two at quarter time.
The Greeks pushed the lead back out to nine early in the second before outscoring the Czech Republic 44-33 over the final 20 minutes.
Greece's win was a result of scoring 10 three-point baskets to the Czech Republic's three, the lone statistical category the team dominated.
15 points and eight rebounds from Konstantinos Mitoglou paced Greece while Vasileios Toliopoulos added 12 and Dimitrios Stamatis and Thomas Kottas contributed 10 each.
Jiri Soula led the Czech Republic with 13 points.
