| 19 March 2013 EUROLEAGUE WOMEN | | Jantel Lavender has topped the rankings for a second day running |
For a second consecutive day, Famila Schio player Jantel Lavender is the EuroLeague Women Final Eight MVP. Lavender was once more dangerous under the hoops, picking up a 22-point, 13-rebound double-double - her second double-double in two nights. However, the award may be received with mixed emotions from the center as her team's record dropped to 0-2, leaving the Italian club on the brink of elimination. Second-placed Marissa Coleman will welcome her place in the rankings with a little more joy as her 16-points, eight assists, eight rebounds and three assists took Bourges to a shock victory, keeping the French club's hopes at the tournament alive. Third-placed Nnemkadi Ogwumike was in a similar situation to Coleman with her 21-point, 12-rebound double-double pushing CCC Polkowice to a similarly unexpected win. Cappie Pondexter and Diana Taurasi complete the top five rankings, taking Fenerbahce and UMMC Ekaterinburg to their second wins respectively. EUROLEAGUE WOMEN FINAL EIGHT DAY 2 MVP RANKINGS |
