EuroLeague Women clubs general assembly, July 2014
Team delegates at the EuroLeague Women clubs' general assembly, Saturday

Romanian club CSU Alba Iulia will join the EuroLeague Women field for the upcoming season, FIBA Europe confirmed on Saturday, at the clubs' general assembly.

The club which finished second in the Romanian league's regular season will play in Europe's top competition for women's clubs for the first time in their history.

The EuroLeague Women draw takes place in Munich on Sunday morning.

16 clubs will be drawn into two Regular Season round-robin groups of eight teams each with the four top teams from each group advancing to the best-of-three quarter-final play-offs.

The winners of those series will advance to the Final Four which is scheduled for 10-12 April 2015.

The venue of the Final Four will be decided in early March 2015.

The EuroLeague Women 2014-15 season tips off on 5 November.
