New Finnish Basketball Association President Antti Zitting

Former Finnish international Antti Zitting has been named as the new President of the Finnish Basketball Association in the year in which the organisation will celebrate its 75th anniversary.

"I would like to thank my predecessor, Mr Curt Lindbom, for his six successful years at the helm of the federation.

"It was a great honour for me to take over from him at the beginning of year, which happens to be the 75th anniversary of Finnish Basketball Association.

"I am looking forward to working with the international basketball family as well as building on to recent success that Finnish basketball has achieved," pronounced Zitting recently.

Zitting has been manufacturing industry for 25 years and currently serves also as Chairman of the Board of Sacotec Components, a precision steel casting company based in Finland.

Prior to his recent appointment, Mr. Zitting was a board member and Vice President of Finnish Basketball Association.

During his active career Mr. Zitting played 119 games with the Finnish Men's National Team.
