Head coach Stipe Bralic has retained the core of his team which finished fifth in Lodz two years ago, despite having their tournament ravaged by injury.
Having since made history with their Olympic debut in London last summer, Croatia will want to keep their impressive momentum going for a third year.
The only high-profile absentee from the list of 15 names announced by Bralic is veteran guard Sandra Mandir, who made the All-Tournament Team in Poland.
35-year-old Mandir, who averaged 14.3 points-per-game in Poland has now confirmed her retirement from the national team.
Certainly her offensive firepower will be sorely missed and the other note of concern is the fitness of fellow guard Andja Jelavic, with the 32-year-old likely to have to prove she is healthy ahead of the tournament tip-off.
The bid to post another strong performance will be spearheaded by Ana Lelas of Basket Lattes Montpellier Agglomeration, who won a regular season league and cup double in France, whilst center Marija Rezan picked up a Liga Femenina Championship medal with Perfumerias Avenida last weekend.
Small forward Jelena Ivezic will also lead by example once again, since she comes to the preparation camp having posted some impressive numbers with Ceyhan Belediye in the Turkish League.
There are some new faces in the mix too, including shooter Monika Bosilj who has enjoyed a terrific year under the watchful eye of Coach Bralic with Gospic.
She is currently trying to fire her team to the Croatian Championship and could be an option to replace some of the points production which departed with Mandir.
The full roster is as follows: Iva Ciglar (Perpignan) Andja Jelavic (Samsun Basket), Antonija Misura (Sibenik Jolly), Emanuela Salopek (Gospic Croatia), Monika Bosilj (Gospic Croatia), Kristina Benic (Sibenik Jolly), Jelena Ivezic (Ceyhan), Ana Lelas (Lattes Montpellier), Davorka Balic (ZKK Zadar), Mirna Mazic (Novi Zagreb), Iva Sliskovic (Spisska Nova Ves ), Josipa Bura (Gospic Croatia), Marija Rezan (Perfumerias Avenida), Luca Ivankovic (Sibenik Jolly), Matea Vrdoljak (Novi Zagreb)
