|Mouloukou Diabate hit a jump-shot with two seconds to play to hand SLUC Nancy a two-point win|
Souleyman Diabate's jump-shot with two seconds left on the clock saw Nancy top French rivals BCM Gravelines 71-69 to take control of their own destiny in the race for the Last 16 of the EuroChallenge - and deny Gravelines qualification on the night.
In a tense finish, Gravelines - who had led by as many as 10 midway through the game - came back from 69-65 down with 68 seconds left to tie it at 69 on a Dwight Buycks' lay-up 19 ticks from time.
But Diabate made his jump-shot count and Cyril Akpomedah's late heave missed as Nancy took the spoils.
Gravelines had led 40-30 when Abdoulaye Mbaye split a pair of free throws just before half-time.
But they let Nancy rally early in the second half, with Torrell Martin's three-pointer capping a 13-2 run that put them up 43-42 four minutes after the restart.
Claude Marquis led Nancy with 16 points while Diabate collected 15 and Herve Toure 11.
Buycks had 19 for Gravelines with Julius Johnson collecting 18 and Mbaye 10.
