Serbia guard Stefan Peno was named MVP of the U16 European Championship Men after leading his team to silver.

Peno scored 10 points and 10 rebounds in the final as his team lost out to Spain in overtime.

It was his first double-double in a tournament where he averaged 9.3 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists, the key man in getting Serbia to the final.

Peno was selected alongside team-mate Milos Glisic, who averaged 14.8 points and 7.9 rebounds.

Champions Spain were represented by Xabier Lopez-Arosteguj, whose 14 points in the final took him to a tournament average of 11.8.

Home crowd favourite Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk was also named to the team after compiling an almost daily personal highlight reel for Ukraine, even as the hosts struggled to 10th place.

Mykhailiuk averaged 25.2 points per game with eight rebounds, scoring a remarkable array of dunks, three-pointers and off-balance jump-shots.

Completing the selection was Greece big man Georgios Papagiannis. The 2.15m center was a handful for every team he faced, and averaged 14.3 points and 10.4 rebounds as Greece took bronze.
