|Jean-Marc Mwema's double-double of 10 points and 15 rebounds gave Antwerp Giants a boost in the win over Rakvere|
Port of Antwerp Giants put the shackles on Rakvere Tarvas in the final frame to prevail 78-73 and advance to the Last 16 of the EuroChallenge
Rakvere, who had already been eliminated before the start of the game, held their own in the first quarter, a Giedrius Gustas jumper cutting the lead down to 19-20 for the Belgian hosts late in the frame.
The Giants had their eyes set on victory, also winning the second quarter for a 49-42 half-time lead.
Things changed after the break as Rakvere looked rejuvenated, scoring the first seven points of the interval and continuing at the same level for the rest of the quarter, scores tied at 64 with 10 minutes to play.
Both teams traded blows for most of the final quarter, but with scores tied at 70, Frank Turner and Barry Stewart scored six unanswered points for the hosts to all but clinch victory.
Rait Keerles once more replied with a three-pointer, but Turner added another lay-up for the final score.
Stewart had 22 for PO Antwerp with Turner adding 18 and nine assists while the in-form Maxime De Zeeuw contributed a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Jean-Marc Mwema also had a double-double of 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Gregory Jenkins's game high 26 points and 14 rebounds were in vain for Rakvere.
