Bulgaria emerged late in the fourth quarter to defeat Slovenia 82-75 in a tight contest to finish 15th at the U18 European Championship.

The lofty shooting percentages came back down to earth in the second period. Slovenia stuck around thanks to 36 points in the paint helped by 12 second-chance points, but the game would remain deadlocked until late in the fourth.

Vezenkov finally broke open the contest by scoring six straight points before Evgeni Hadzhirusev added a three to push Bulgaria's lead out to nine with under four minutes remaining - easily the largest of the game. Center Rumen Vasilev was able to close the game out at the foul line.

Bulgaria were led by a game-high 32 points and 16 rebounds from Vezenkov. Hadzhirusev added 19.
