After the successful stop in Podgorica, Montenegro at the beginning of the week, the EuroBasket 2013 delegation and Palma travel agency representatives moved on to Skopje, the capital city of F.Y.R. of Macedonia.
On Friday, Ivo Daneu and the EuroBasket 2013 delegation held a press conference, co-hosted by One, an affiliated company of newly acquired EuroBasket 2013 Sponsor, Telekom Slovenije.
The Slovenian Ambassador in Skopje, Branko Rakovec, and two representatives of the Basketball Federation of FYR of Macedonia also spoke at the press conference
The guests of the press conference were informed about ticket sales for EuroBasket and side-events in Jesenice, the city that will host the group of F.Y.R, of Macedonia.
The June edition of EuroBasket Magazine was introduced and the attendees were informed about the status of renovations in Podmezakla Arena in Jesenice.
Later on, the delegation was warmly welcomed by the Slovenian embassy with Ivo Daneu speaking to the invited 500 guests from politics, sports and other areas of public life.
A stand with promotional material had been set-up at the event, to make sure no one went home without knowing about EuroBasket in September.
As it had been the case in Podgorica, the city centre of Skopje witnessed a basketball game between teams from the home country and Slovenia with Ivo Daneu weighing in with all his experience, coaching the Slovenian side.
Lipko was of course on hand, making himself known in Skopje.
The Communications Manager of EuroBasket 2013, Anze Blazic, was more than satisfied with the recent visits.
"With the visit of Montenegro and F.Y.R. of Macedonia we are ending the cycle of bigger visits of foreign countries, with the goal of promoting of Slovenia, all four host cities and EuroBasket 2013.
"We visited 13 countries and I am thankful to everyone, who helped us in the previous months to successfully organise those visits.
"I want to especially thank our embassies, who are trying to promote EuroBasket 2013 and Slovenia to the world," he concluded.
