|Always one step ahead of her Kosice opponents: Johannah Leedham|
A perfect shooting night from Johannah Leedham propelled Tango Bourges to a fine 77-61 EuroLeague Women success at Good Angels Kosice in front of another record-breaking crowd of 8,597.
Less than one month after their regular season record game, they now also hold the attendance record for any EuroLeague Women game.
The hosts were edged out in their previous home game at the Steel Arena against UMMC Ekaterinburg in a real thriller, but were second best by a long way this time as Great Britain star Leedham gave Bourges some real momentum.
The FIBA Europe Women's Player of the Year candidate finished with a terrific 23 points and didn't miss a single shot all night. She also added eight rebounds, three assists and two steals in an MVP display.
The lack of a three-point threat haunted Good Angels once again and whilst Bourges have also had their struggles from the perimeter this season, Cathy Joens came up with the goods from downtown.
She finished with 16 points in a haul which included four triples on a great night of work for the French champions.
Kosice were out for revenge after their loss in the third placed game at EuroLeague Women Final Eight at the end of last season, but never looked on-form.
After a tight first fifteen minutes, Bourges made their move by posting a 10-0 run either side of the interval to take control.
And, by early in the last quarter, they had surged into unassailable 61-47 lead which Kosice desperately tried to claw back but to no avail.
Plenette Pierson top-scored for the losing side with 18 points.
