Alba Torrens once won the EuroLeague Women title with Perfumerias Avenida but the Spanish star returned to her former home to haunt her ex-employers and help Galatasaray odeabank seal a 75-54 win and collect a precious ticket for the Final Eight.

The Spanish star claimed 21 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals, to headline for the Turkish side as they avenged their regular season defeat in Salamanca with a convincing victory.

As was the case in the opening game of the play-off series, Avenida endured a near non-start and stumbled out of the blocks which meant they had to play catch-up early.

They fell 11-2 behind and much worse was to follow as Galatasaray continued to impose themselves on their hosts, eventually increasing their lead to an emphatic 16 point margin.

It was a stylish ‘and-1' play by Torrens which etched a high-tide mark for the visitors at 32-16 shortly before the interval and they kept control for most of the third quarter.

Avenida did rally and got themselves back to within six points after a huge triple by Marta Xargay, as they tried to give themselves momentum for the last ten minutes.

But they couldn't get closer to Galatasaray, who shot the ball superbly from long-range themselves and also relied on 22 points from Shavonte Zellous who produced a display on a par with that of Torrens.

Angelica Robinson had 15 points and 12 rebounds for Avenida to underline why she has been retained for the 2014-15 campaign.
