Tanisha Wright's double-double came in handy for Kayseri Kaski spor in a defensive minded contest with Kosice
Kayseri Kaski spor revived their EuroLeague Women Group A prospects after a fine 53-42 win at Good Angels Kosice, who slumped to a third home loss in a row.
All home fans hoping it would be third time lucky at the Steel Arena after seeing defeats against UMMC Ekaterinburg and Tango Bourges were left sorely disappointed as Good Angels fell to their third defeat in four games.
In stark contrast, it was to be a third win in four games for the resurgent visitors. Buoyed by their twin turbos of Camille Little and Tanisha Wright, Kayseri were able to head to the locker rooms 29-26 in front at the interval.
Little eventually finished with a game-high 19 points and added five assists, whilst Wright sealed a nice double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds.
And, it was the work of Kayseri on the glass which proved to be the key in the game, as they took control in the third quarter by stepping up their defence and holding Kosice to a paltry four points as the home team misfired yet again from the perimeter.
That gave the Turkish club the platform and cushion they needed to ease away in the final quarter as they increased their lead to double-figures.
Jia Perkins was drafted in to bolster the Good Angels offence recently but only managed ten minutes on debut and like her team-mates, was locked down.
Only Tijana Krivacevic emerged with credit in defeat, producing a nice and typically efficient 12 points and eight rebounds.
