Spain became the first team to qualify for the quarter-finals from Group E, following an 83-72 win over Belarus at the U20 European Championship Women on Monday.
The two-time defending champions never trailed, building a 24-8 advantage by the end of the first quarter.
But Belarus did not falter, halving the deficit before halftime and then used six second-half three-pointers to come within two points (57-55) in a fourth quarter shoot-out.
However, they could not come closer than that as Spain behind pulled away in the final minutes behind nine points from Yurena Diaz.
In the victory that keeps Spain alone in first place in Group E, the reigning champions won the turnover battle 15-8, which was just enough to hold off the Belarus challenge.
Astou Ndour led Spain once again, this time with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Paula Estebas and Inmaculada Zanoguera scored 15 apiece.
Darya Lipinskaya netted 14 and Katsiaryna Urbanovich 12 points for Belarus.
