Lithuania concluded their Sportland U20 European Championship campaign with a sparkling display, breezing past Montenegro 84-51 to clinch seventh place in the final standings of the tournament.

The Baltic side came out guns blazing and grabbed a 12-point lead midway through the opening quarter, before Montenegro reduced to 17-11 at the end of the period.

When Lithuania shifted into top gear in the second quarter though, Montenegro had no more answers and the gap ballooned to 39-20 by the half-time buzzer.

With Montenegro shooting just 27.9 percent from the field (4-of-24 from three-point range) Lithuania pushed the difference to as many as 38 points, 76-38, when there was still more than five minutes left in the encounter.

Lithuania point guard Paulius Semaska led all scorers with 20 points and added six assists, Mindaugas Kacinas had 18 points and eight rebounds while three more Lithuanian players finished with 11 points each.

Vukota Pavic had 19 points and five rebounds for Montenegro in defeat.
