Luxembourg Stay Real

29 July 2010

While the other teams in Division B have one eye on achieving their dream of promotion to Division A and at least booking a slot in the promotion games, for the tiny nation of Luxembourg, their ambitions are a little more realistic.

Having lost all of their games last time, they head into this summers campaign looking to chalk up a win to boost confidence and continue their development. For them, success is very definitely relative.

Forward Tessy Hetting is confident it is not mission impossible, despite being hamstrung by injury problems and absences. This was something that also plagued the team last time but the graduate of Long Island University is hoping this time around they can still get that landmark victory.

She explained, "Unfortunately, we have some players who will miss this years games due to injuries. We hope that the rest of us will stay healthy as that was one of our problems last year.

"We suffered from many injuries last year and never had even a nearly complete team."

"Still, my team definitely expects an improvement from last year."

"We have been working hard and expect at least one win in our group against Switzerland, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Estonia."

She added, "We have started with our preparation a while ago, especially in athletic and individual areas. The preparation has gone well so far."

"It is definitely a strong group but our goal is simply to play better than last year."
